2026 MS Boys Flag Football Tryouts

Dear Parents,

Tryouts for the Middle School Boys Flag teams will take place on Monday, August 17, Tuesday, August 18, and Wednesday, August 19. Participants should plan to attend all three days of tryouts. If a student must miss one day due to illness or another excused absence, two days will be sufficient for the coaches to evaluate that student.

Each participant needs to have a current sports physical on file. Students should wear SRCS-issued PE or athletic shorts and a shirt, along with appropriate footwear. Rubber studded cleats and a mouth guard are highly recommended for tryouts but are not required. Both will be required for participation on one of the competitive teams.

As a proud member of the Gold Coast League, SRCS will follow league standards by fielding both a Varsity and a 6th Grade team. Students in 7th and 8th grade will compete for roster spots on the Varsity team only, while 6th graders will compete for roster spots on the 6th Grade team only. The number players who make each team change from year-to-year and are at the discretion of the head coach.

Tryouts will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM each day. Dismissal will take place in front of the gym between 4:45 PM and 5:00 PM. Students who have not been picked up by 5:00 PM will be checked into Aftercare.

The $200 athletic participation fee will be applied to the student's FACTS account only if they are selected for a team.
